BioMechanics

The human system is a fantastic machine. Millennia of use has described not just our shape but the interactive behavior of the parts involved. It is a disservice to think we can simply build or replace a part without re-calibrating the entire system.

Once we re-coop some space in the joints and begin to re-balance muscle pairs, its time to restore the relative function; rotation, load, and gravity management.

Subtle and sometimes finicky these relative motion drills are the foundation of efficiency, skill and power. Take your time. Less is More!

Mechanics: Sacrum and Hips

Man Running Outdoors

All movement is a matter of rotation. The center-most key to efficient and powerful movement is the sacrum. Re-establish the smooth rotation of the sacrum and hip joints and find the natural ease built into the human machine.

Mechanics: Spine Rotation

Dynamic Dance Pose

Legs may be our pistons, but its the rotation that drives the system. Restoring the relative rotation between the rib cage and pelvis restores the natural ability to recycle and amplify power. Quit wasting the legs and run from your hips!

Mechanics: Feet and Lower Limb

Exercising Barefoot

Feet are the interface between our Center of Gravity and the earth.  Naturally malleable and articulate, our feet are in constantly adjusting to the external and internal environment. When we lose access to our feet, the whole system falls out

Mechanics: Shoulders and S-Curve

Yoga Stretching Pose

Unique to humans, our shoulders may give us an evolutionary edge, but if we aren't careful, they can get us into trouble. Too easily, we lose natural range and power. Restore shoulder S-Curve pattern and regain both strength and mobility.
